(b) Uterus is the part of female reproductive system where embryo gets implanted.  Endometrium is the internal lining of the uterus. During the menstrual cycle, oestrogen secreted by the corpus luteum and ovary triggers the thickening of the endometrial lining. The endometrial lining becomes thick and there is a oxygen and nutrient rich blood supply to the lining.

(c)  In case the fertilization fails to take place then uterine wall ruptures, it starts shedding off. Along with the ovum, it is discharged out of the body as the menstrual flow.
