(c) Endosmosis, Osmosis.
(d) Root pressure, Osmotic pressure
(e) Difference in the concentration gradient of water in successive cells builds the osmotic pressure which ultimately builds up the root pressure. Due to root pressure, osmotic pressure and turgidity of root cells, water is pushed upwards through the xylem.
