the expression for the potential energy of acurrent loop  when it is placed in amagnetic field

Just like an electric dipole
The potential energy of the loop in an external magnetic field is
U = -μ.B ( scalar product of magnetic moment and magnetic field)
U = -μB cosθ where θ is the angle between magnetic moment and magnetic field.
Magnetic moment μ is define as
μ = IA
I is THE CURRENT an A is the area of the loop
