The distance between two stations is 340Km. Two trains start simultaneously from these stations on parallel tracks to cross each other. The speed of one of them is greater than the other by 5km/hr. If the distance between the two trains after two hours of their starting 30km, find the speed of each train with explaination and solution.   The sum of a digit of a 2-digit number is 8. The number obtained by inter changing the digits exeeds the given number by 18. find the given numbers with explaination and solution.

Let the digit at the unit's place = x
then the digit at the ten's place = 8 - x                 ... Since the sum of a digit of a 2-digit number is 8.
 
Original Two digit number = x + 10(8 - x) = x + 80 - 10x = 80 - 9x

 According to the condition in the question, we get

10x +(8 - x) = 80 - 9x + 18
→ 10x - x + 9x = 98 - 8
→ 18x = 90
→    x = 5 = digit at the unit digit
 
digit at the ten's place = 8 - x = 8 - 5 = 3
 
Original number = 80 - 9x = 80 - 9(5) = 80 - 45 = 35
New number(after interchanging the digit's) = 9x + 8 = 9(5) + 8 = 45 + 8 = 53
