Given: Curved surface area(S) = 440 cm2, height (h) = 10 cm

Circumference of the base of the cylinder =

 begin mathsize 12px style straight S space equals space 440 space cm squared 2 πrh space equals space 440 2 πr space equals space 440 over 10 space equals space 44 space cm end style

Thus circumference of the circle is 44 cm.
