Angle of emergence e is determined from the following relation
δ = i + e - A .............. (1)
where δ is angle of deviation , i is angle of incidence, e is angle of emergence and A is angle of prism.
If we substitute i = 60 , δ = 30 and A = 30 , we get e = 0 , which is not possible.
That means a prism with angle A = 30o can not give angle of deviation 30o if the angle of incidence is 60o

Let us solve this problem using law of refraction
Let the refractive index n of material of prism be 1.5
sin (i ) / sin (r1) = 1.5 or sin(r1) = sin60/1.5 = 0.5773 or r1 = 35o
Hence from figure we get , ABC = 55O , hence ACB = ( 180 - 30 -55 ) = 95o
Hence angle of incidence at other face , r2 = 5o
sin(r2 ) / sin(e) = 1/1.5 = 2/3 or sin(e) = sin( 5o ) / 0.6667 = 0.1307 or angle of emergence e = sin-1 (0.1307 ) = 7.5o
