Hi Kideuttam Kide,
The properties by which sounds can be differentiated are amplitude and frequency.
Frequency: The number of oscillations per second is called the frequency of oscillation (f). It is expressed in hertz (Hz). A frequency of 1 Hz is one oscillation per second.
Amplitude:The maximum disturbance in the medium on either side of the mean position is called its amplitude of the sound wave.
We differentiate various sounds on the basis of their amplitudes and frequencies.
Pitch: Pitch of a sound depends on its frequency. Higher the frequency, higher is the pitch and vice versa.
