# straight lines equation problem

Asked by ashwinikumar59 29th April 2010, 7:48 PM

There can be more than one solutions,

For example, the base is parallel to x axis, and height is parallel to y axis.

Then it's easy to see that a line parallel to y axis, which is height is passing through x = 1 since from the first point it's y coordinate is 4, and is at higher position than second point.

Similarly, base is y = 1, Hence the equations are height x = 1, and base y =1.

Alternately we can also have x = 3 and y = -4.
