Statement is "lower is the numerical value of 1-K/N higher is the environment resistance"

As this value is itself known as environment resistance why its lower value lead to high resistance?

Answer:

Environmental resistance refers to the limitations placed on the biotic potential due to unfavorable environmental conditions, e.g. overcrowded, predation.High resistance means the value of the expression 1-K/N approaches to 1. This is because the number of individuals (N) is small and carrying capacity (K) is high. So, there will be no overcrowding or any new population to grow. The opposite happens when the value of the expression 1-K/N decreases to zero and N increases and approaches K.

(K - N)/K is a measure of environmental resistance but is an inverse measure; when environmental resistance is low, the numerical value of (K - N)/K approaches 1, and when environmental resistance is high, the value of (K - N)/K approaches 0.
