answered-by-expert Expert Answer
  1. If the rays from a far-off object like the sun are considered, then they are almost parallel and are known as a parallel beam of light.
  2. If the rays are coming out from a very small source, they go out in all directions and spread i.e. they diverge from the point source. Therefore, a point source produces a divergent beam.
  3. If all the rays are coming together and meet at one point then the beam is known as a convergent beam.
