de Broglie's hypothesis states that electrons revolving in their circular orbit, as proposed by Bohr behave like wave. For an electron moving in nth circular orbit of radius rn the total distance travelled by it in a complete period will be:

2n rn = nλ         where, n = 1,2,3...
