Use discriminant to prove it.
Discriminant of first quadratic equation is 4b12 - 4a1 c1 = 4(b12 - a1 c1) and for second 4b22 - 4a2 c2 = 4(b22 - a2 c2)
Taking one root in common prove the required result.
