probability of getting a 5 or 6 = 2/6 because there are 2 favorable outcomes i.e. 5 and 6 and there are 6 total possibilities (1,2,3,4,5,6)

Similarly, probability of getting a 1,2,3 or 4 = 4/6 because there are 4 favorable outcomes i.e. 1,2,3 or 4 and there are 6 total possibilities (1,2,3,4,5,6)

Its like any die, the possibility of getting any 1 specific number is 1/6, but the possibility of getting 2 specific numbers = 2/6 and so on..
