A matrix is said to be skew symmetric if the transpose of the matrix is equal to the negative sign of it.

AT = -A

For example

begin mathsize 16px style straight A equals open square brackets table row 0 2 row cell negative 2 end cell 0 end table close square brackets
straight A to the power of straight T equals open square brackets table row 0 cell negative 2 end cell row 2 0 end table close square brackets
straight A to the power of straight T equals negative open square brackets table row 0 2 row cell negative 2 end cell 0 end table close square brackets equals negative straight A end style

Hence, A is skew symmetric matrix.
