Let us take the point O as the reference to fix the coordintate of moving block.
As the block falls down it can be seen its y-coord keep on reducing. Since centre of mass of the wedge is not changing,
centre of mass of combined system depends on this y-coord. Hence Centre of mass shifts downwards
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Let us take the point O as the reference to fix x-coord of the both blocks. Before releasing the blocks, block-2 has non-zero x-coordinate.
But after releasing the blocks, x-coordinate of block-2 becomes zero (refer figure). hence centre of mass moves towards right
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

let us take the axis of the pulley as reference to get the y-coordinate of block and monkey. Initially both are at same level hence y-coord of centre of mass will be same for both. Once monkey starts climbing up, its y-coordinate decreasing. Since mass of block is same as mass of monkey, the block will move up. hence the y-coordinate of centre of mass of the combined system(block+monkey) will decrease , hence centre of mass of the combined system will shift upwards.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
both the block has same mass. Even aftre giving some displacement, it will come to its initial position. Hence no shift in centre of mass
