Sir,oscillating charges produce electric and magnetic fields.Are they always perpendicular to each other?Why?

Hi Vishwanath,

An oscillating charge produces a magnetic field. This field will be changing with change in speed of oscillation.

Now, this changing magnetic field will induce an emf which is basically the electric field.

So, the oscillating charge produce electric and magnetic fields both.

Now, these two fields will always be produced perpendicular to each other in accordance with maxwells equations of electromagnetism.

These equations relate the electric and magnetic fields vectorially giving rise to perpendicular fields.
