• Write answers in a pointwise manner.
• Leave sufficient space to distinguish between two spate questions.
• Definitions should be to the point.
• For physics, derivations should contain a sentence or two of introduction, a diagram (if any), clear mathematical steps with the highlighted final result.
• Graphical questions and conceptual problems should be supported with correct reasoning.
• Numerical problems must be solved in logical systematic manner.
• Follow the proper sequence if the question demands you to write about the process or steps.
• Try to give examples wherever possible.
• Questions asking to ‘distinguish’ or ‘differentiate’ should be written in a table form.
• Give diagrammatic representation of answers wherever necessary.
• Supplement your answers with neat and labelled diagrams.
• Do not use different coloured inks to write or draw in the paper.
• Underline key words in your answers to attract the attention of the examiners.
