Sir, in some cases the value of g is taken 9.8 m per square sec and in some cases it's taken as 10 mper sq sec. Can you please recommend any rule or trick when to use which value. Is there a rule of thumb as such?

Answer:
There is no set rule for taking the value of g. However, by checking the data, one can assume a value.

If the given data is multiple of 10 or a whole number, then assuming g = 10 will simplify the calculations.

If the given data is a multiple of 9.8, then take g = 9.8
