Sir, given answer is option 2. Plzz explain...How'z it possible because... Duplication of chromosomes occurs in anaphase.. Which comes after metaphase.

  • During the S phase of interphase, synthesis or replication of DNA occurs on the template of the existing DNA strand.
  • The DNA is replicated and then the DNA content of nucleus becomes doubled. This process is also known as duplication of chromosomes.
