Given sinA = cosA
We know that sin 45 = cos45 = 1/ root2
Hence, A = 45 degrees
 
Therefore,
2tan2A + sin2A - 1
= 2tan245o + sin245o - 1
= 2(1) + (1/2) - 1
= 1 + 1/2
= 3/2
