Expert Answer
The jagirdari system was a system that allotted jagirs to jagirdars or landlords in return for the services rendered by them to the Mughal empire. All Mughal nobles and mansabdars were paid through an asignment of jagir. These nobles collected land revenues from these lands and were responsible for maintaining law and order.
