The volume of the cylinderical tank is

The volume of the cuboid sump is
1.57 cross times 10 cubed cross times 1.44 cross times 10 cubed cross times 95 space c m cubed
Let the height of the water left in the sump after tank is filled with water be 'H'.
Balancing the volume we get
3.14 cross times 60 squared cross times 95 plus 1.57 cross times 10 squared cross times 1.44 cross times 10 squared cross times h equals 1.57 cross times 10 squared cross times 1.44 cross times 10 squared cross times 95 rightwards double arrow 1.57 cross times 10 squared cross times 1.44 cross times 10 squared open parentheses 95 minus h close parentheses equals 3.14 cross times 60 squared cross times 95 rightwards double arrow 95 minus h equals fraction numerator 3.14 cross times 60 squared cross times 95 over denominator 1.57 cross times 10 squared cross times 1.44 cross times 10 squared end fraction equals 47.5 rightwards double arrow h equals 47.5
