- Ready market: Manufactures and wholesalers are provided with a ready market to do business because of the retailers dealing with the individuals.
- Risk bearing: The product becomes popular because of the retailers participation in the promotional activities. Hence, it is no more risky to the manufacturers.
- Information: Retailers provide the wholesalers with information gathered from the customers during their personal selling efforts.
- Supply of goods to distant places: Retailers provide utility services to manufacturers by distributing goods to the final consumers.
