CBSE Class 7 Answered

Respected sir/mam,
Unisexual plant have either male or female reproductive parts; so does that means that a flower of a kind, for example a papaya has either a male or female part and that gender differs in different kinds of papaya?
Then how are the seeds formed?

Papaya plant is said to be unisexual because it can possess either male or female reproductive structures, i.e. either stamens or carpels. Both the male and the female unisexual flowers may be present in the same plant or in different plants. Accordingly, there can be self-pollination or cross-pollination leading to the formation of zygote. After fertilisation, the zygote develops into an embryo while the ovule develops into a seed.
