If the reading in Celsius thermometer is x, then the reading on Fahrenheit thermometer is 7x/5.

Then, we get

begin mathsize 12px style straight T subscript straight C over 100 equals fraction numerator straight T subscript straight F minus 32 over denominator 180 end fraction
straight x over 100 equals fraction numerator begin display style fraction numerator 7 straight x over denominator 5 end fraction minus 32 end style over denominator 180 end fraction
straight x over 100 equals fraction numerator 7 straight x minus 160 over denominator 900 end fraction
9 straight x equals 7 straight x minus 160
2 straight x equals negative 160
straight x equals negative 80 end style

Hence, the temperature in Celsius thermometer is -80 °C and

that in the Fahrenheit thermometer is -112 °F
