CBSE - X - Physics - Magnetic Effects of Electric Current

Answered by Expert

When a charged particle enters a magnetic field , it feels a force which is perpendicular to both velocity and magnetic field called the Lorentz force. The current in the conductor is a collection of many charged particles flowing in one direction. When it is placed in a magnetic field, each of the charged particle feels a force and hence the conductor experiences a force .
