Thermal stress in rod 1 = Y1α1Δθ
Thermal stress in rod 2 = Y2α2Δθ
α1 : α2 = 2 : 3
Thermal stress in both rods are equal
Y1α1Δθ = Y2α2Δθ
Y1/Y2=α2 / α1 = 3/2
