Step 1) To draw the path of the circle.
 
 
Step 2) Average velocity is displacement upon time. So, we find displacement 's' and time is 't'.
 
Step 3) Find displacement using Pythagoras Theorem in IOF. It is s = begin mathsize 12px style square root of 2 straight R end style
Step 4) Then find average velocity. It is v = displacement/time.
