No light transmission through cross poloroids. Cross poloroids mean two polarisers are kept such that the polarisation direction are in mutually perpendicular direction. when unpolarised light enters through the first poloroid, which is called polariser, it will be poloraised afer emerging out. If this poloraised light enters the second polariser, which is called analyzer, the poloraised light will be transmitted out only if the polaraisation direction of analyzer is same as that of the incident polarised light. Hence cross poloroids, where the polarisation direction of polariser and analyser are perpendicular direction, do not transmit light.
