Ans. The Nazis only considered as the Nordic Germans as a pure race IN Germany and German occupied territories. Jews, gypsies and the blacks living in Germany were considered undesirable. These were persecuted in the following manner:

• The ‘undesirables’ were widely persecuted. From 1933 to 1938 the Nazis terrorized and segregated the Jews, compelling them to leave the country.
• The next phase from 1939-1945, he aimed at concentrating the Jews in certain areas and eventually killing them in gas chambers in Poland.
• The Jews and the other ‘undesirables’ were put into concentration camps and gas chambers. They were tortured and killed in most brutal ways in these concentration camps.

Two important features of Hitler’s ideology of geopolitical concept of living space'Lebensraum'  were:

• It was a basic principle of the Nazi foreign policy.  Hitler believed that eastern Europe had to be conquered to create a vast German empire for more physical space, a greater population, and new territory to supply food and raw materials.
• Hitlere wanted to settle the growing German population in conquered territories. This according to him also helped in acquiring raw materials.
