induced emf, e = v×B×l , v is velocity of ring, B is magnetic field and l is length of ring
 
hence e = v×B×∏×R .
if we apply left hand rule, (fore finger-B, middle finger-v, thumb-induced current), current flows from M to Q, hence Q gets positive potential.
