Let r cm be the position of equlibrium with respect to the origin O.
By coluomb's inverse square law we have, ......................(1)
if we consider positive sign and solve for r, we get r = 1/3 , which is physically not possible becuase
if test charge is placed in middle of given two charges the resultant force is always in one direction and equilibrium will not be arrived.
if we consider negative sign and solve for r, we get r = - 21 cm
