(i) there are two forces. One force due to mass m acting left side of fulcrum at a distance 20 cm from fulcrum. Another force is due to weight of metre scale acting at the centre of scale.
when the moments due to two forces are balanced, then we have m×20 = 100×10 , we get m = 50 gram

(ii) when m is shifted to 10 cm mark, anticlockwise moment due to 50 gm mass is 50×30 = 1500 g-cm.
Clockwise moment due to scale weight is 100×10 = 1000 g-cm. Since anticlockwise moment is greater than clockwise moment, scale will tilt on left side.

(iii) resultant moment 1500 - 1000 = 500 g-cm in anticlockwise direction

(iv) to balance the scale with 50 gm weight, we need to suspend it on right side of fulcrum. let d be the distance from fulcrum on right side to suspend 50 gm weight. then d×50 = 500 g-cm, hence we get d = 10 cm.
