Q 1.(i)  A 110 m long train travels at 30 km/h. how long will it take to cross a platform 90 m long?

(ii)  A 120 m long train travels at the speed of 60 km/h. how long will it take to cross  a platform of length 180 m?

Length of the train = 110 m and length of the platform = 90 m
The train needs to cover a distance of 110+90 = 200 m = 0.2 km
Time = Distance/ Speed
T h e r e f o r e comma space t i m e equals fraction numerator 0.2 over denominator 30 end fraction equals 1 over 150 space h o u r equals 3600 over 150 s e c equals 24 space s e c o n d s
(ii)
Similarly, distance needs to be covered by a train 120m long is 300m = 0.3km at the rate of 60 km/h
