Let total number of students be x.
Total number of stduents who voted = x - 50
Votes for Preeti = Votes for Rashmi = 3x/7
P ∩ R = 50
Using n(P υ R) = n(P) + n(R) - n(P ∩ R)
we get x = 700
Find 3x/7 + 50 using x = 700 we get 350 and 3x/7 = 300
