and eyepiece of focal length 5 cm.
 
let uo be the objective lens to object distance and vo is the image distance from objective lens.
 
we have begin mathsize 12px style 1 over v subscript 0 space plus space 1 over u subscript 0 space equals space 1 over f space equals space 1 space space space space o r space space v subscript o space equals space fraction numerator u subscript o over denominator u subscript o space minus space 1 end fraction space space................ left parenthesis 1 right parenthesis end style
for eye piece : begin mathsize 12px style 1 over v subscript e minus 1 over u subscript e space equals space 1 over f space space o r space space space minus 1 over 25 minus 1 over u subscript e space equals space 1 fifth space space o r space space space space u subscript e space equals space minus 25 over 6 space equals space 4.17 space c m end style
vo + ue = 12.2 cm   or  vo = 12.2 - 4.17 = 8.03 cm
 
by substituting vo value in eqn.(1), we get uo = 1.14 cm
