Expert Answer
When the bubble rises when upward bouyancy force exceed the downward surface tension force
acting on the edge of bubble of circular edge that mkes contact with the bottom surface of vessel.
bouyancy force acting on bubble = (4/3)πR3 ρW g .......................(1)
Surface tension force in vertical downward direction = ( 2πR ) T sinθ = ( 2πr ) T (r/R) = ( 2π r2 T ) / R .................(2)
By equating (1) and (2), we get , ..................... (3)
