The variety of resources present in forests prove useful to mankind in many ways. Implements for agriculture, fishing and hunting is largely made up of wood. Also forests are sites for hunting and fishing. Also fruits, nuts and medicines are obtained from forests. Forests are also used for cattle grazing and collecting of fodder for animals. Using these resources in a sustainable manner will not lead to their exhaustion. But using them selfishly, without any regard for ecological balance will lead to exhaustion of forest resources.
