A cyclone is a storm that involves the movement of warm ,high pressure air and cooler , low-pressure air.This movement of air causes rotation that
picks up speed and creates a funnel.
Cyclones usually forms over warm water which is available near the equator. The warm and moist air is the begning of cyclone process. This warm air
, being lighter, rises upwards what it leaves behind is the zone of low air pressure. This low air pressure zone is filled by surrounding air which is relatively cooler.
Now this cooler air absorbs heat from the ocean water becomes warm and moist and moves upward and hence again creating the low pressure zone near the water surface.
This cycle continues and picks up the speed and an eye is formed at the center. The eye is the lowest pressure When the wind speed reaches as high as 75mph the storm is officialy called a tropical cyclone. this cyclone weaken when they hit the land because they no longer get energy from warm ocean water.
