Question: A shopkeeper mixes two varieties of rice costing rs. 30.80/kg and rs. 26/kg and sells the mixture rs. 30.80/kg thereby making a profit of 10%. Find the ratio in which the two varieties are mixed:
Solution:
S.P. of the mixture = rs. 30.80/kg, Profit% = 10%
C.P. = 100/110 x S.P. = 100/110 x 30.80 = 308/11 = Rs. 28
