28.  The reaction is given by
BaCl2.xH2O                    → BaCl2   + xH2O
1.763g          1.505g               0.258g
 
Comparing the number of moles of hydrate and anhydrate we get
 
{1.763/208+18x} = {1.505/208}
 
or, 0.265 = 0.129x so, x = 2
 
thus the formula for hydrate is C.
 
29. The reaction is
 
N2 + 3H2 → 2NH3
 
Thus if i assume nitrogen is complted i.e its 1 mole is complete so the total number of moles = 3 moles = 84g
 
and similarly for hydrogen total  moles = 5 moles = 10g
 
so, option b is correct.
 
30. The stoichiometric coefficients actually represents the number of moles so, option a is correct.
