Change in Pressure Δp , when force is applied to piston connected to small syringe is calculated as
Δp = force /area = 10 N / [ π ( 0.5 × 0.5 ) × 10-4 ] m2 = 1.273 × 105 Pa
Since pressure change is same in all the point , Force experienced by piston connected to bigger syringe is calculated as
Force = pressure × area = 1.273 × 105 Pa × π ( 1.5 × 1.5 ) × 10-4 m2 = 90 N
------------------------------------------------------------
Change in volume in small syringe , ΔV = Area × distance moved by piston
Change in volume in small syringe , ΔV = π ( 0.5 × 0.5 ) × 10-4 × 0.06 = 4.712 × 10-6 m3
Expanded volume in bigger springe will be same as ΔV
Distance moved out by piston , d =
