We know that:
1) For a p-type semiconductor, the majority carriers are holes.
2) At 0 K (absolute zero) all the charge carriers are situated in the valence band and the conduction band is empty.
 
So, we can say that there are no charge carriers in the conduction band and so no free electrons available for conduction.
Hence, the correct answer is option (C).
