the resistance will become 16 times ,hence new resistance will be 32ohms,

volume of the wire will remain constant therefore

 l A = l' A'

A/A' = l' / l = 4 , where A is the original area of crossecition, A' new area of crossesection,l is original lenght, l' is new lenght.
