The given sides of triangle are pythagorian triples ( 52 + 122 = 132 ), 5 cm and 12 cm are sides of right angles.
Hence area of sheet = (1/2)×5×12 = 30 cm2 .

area also can be calculated using formula = begin mathsize 12px style square root of s space open parentheses s space minus a close parentheses space open parentheses s space minus b close parentheses space open parentheses s space minus space c close parentheses end root end style , where a,b and c are sides and
s = (a+b+c)/2 is semi-perimeter of triangle.

hence area of sheet = begin mathsize 12px style square root of 15 space cross times space 10 space cross times 3 cross times 2 end root space equals 30 space c m squared end style
cost of painting for both sides of sheet = 2 × 30 ×30 = Rs.1800

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
begin mathsize 12px style a space plus space b square root of 15 space equals space fraction numerator square root of 5 space plus space square root of 3 over denominator square root of 5 space minus space square root of 3 end fraction space
fraction numerator square root of 5 space plus space square root of 3 over denominator square root of 5 space minus space square root of 3 end fraction space equals space fraction numerator square root of 5 space plus space square root of 3 over denominator square root of 5 space minus space square root of 3 end fraction cross times fraction numerator square root of 5 space plus space square root of 3 over denominator square root of 5 space plus space square root of 3 end fraction space equals space fraction numerator open parentheses square root of 5 space plus space square root of 3 close parentheses squared over denominator 5 space minus space 3 end fraction space equals space fraction numerator 5 plus 3 plus 2 square root of 15 over denominator 2 end fraction space equals space 4 plus square root of 15 end style

hence a = 4 and b = 1
