Answer:
We have equation for radioactivity :- N = No e-λt .................(1)
after t = 1 day, N = 0.9 No , hence we get , e-λ = 0.9 ...................(2)
after t = 2 day, N/ No = e-2λ ...................(3)
using eqn.(2), eqn.(3) is written as, N/No = [ e-λ ]2 = 0.9 × 0.9 = 0.81
Hence after 2 days, percentage of undecayed nuclei is 81 %
