(ii)Water from the petri plate, enters the cavity of the potato.
(iii) Osmosis
(iv) Osmosis is the process in which water moves from the region of its higher potential to the region of lower potential through a semi-permeable membrane
(v) There is less or no water and more amount of salt in the cavity of potato and more water in its surroundings. Hence, osmosis takes place and water enters the cavity.
