weight of the block, i.e., gravitational force = m×g = 10×9.8 = 98 N . This force is acting downwards as shown in figure.
Weight of the block or gravitational force acting on block is resolved so that one component is along the direction
perpendicular to inclined plane and the other component is parallel to inclined plane.
The component of gravitational force which is perpendicular to inclined plane is mg cosθ = 98×(4/5) = 78 N .
The component of gravitational force which is parallel to inclined plane is mg sinθ = 98×(3/5) = 59 N .
The component of gravitational force which is perpendicular to inclined plane equals the normal reaction force
provided by the plane to the block, hence this normal reaction force = 78 N
