The air which is exhaled from the mouth contains carbon dioxide, which is used by the plant for photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is carried out in the presence of light, water and chlorophyll. The by-product of the reaction is oxygen which is released out in the form of bubbles. So, air from mouth contains CO2 which is utilised in photosynthesis. Hence, there is an increase in O2 production.
