In the absence of zinc if product formed is formaldehyde, will it be further converted into formic acid or not?

During ozonolysis, in the absence of zinc if product formed is formaldehyde, it will not be further converted into formic acid, reaction stops there only.
CH3-CH2-CH=CH2 +O→ CH3-CH2CHO + HCHO
